Glendale Yoga is dedicated to providing Hatha Yoga instruction in a friendly and non-competitive environment. Our goal is to make yoga accessible to students of any level no matter their previous yoga experience, age, or size. Students are encouraged to work at their individual ability under the watchful guidance of our experienced teachers. New students are invited to attend our Free Introduction to Yoga Workshop Sunday April 6th or May 4th  from 2:00-3:30 pm. Please RSVP by calling (818) 956-1621.

 

Hatha Yoga is the ancient system of creating balance between the body and mind in order to find harmonious peace and well being. Our classes at Glendale yoga honor the Hatha tradition by combining physical  postures or (asanas) to strengthen the body, relaxation techniques or (pratyahara) to draw the senses inward, and conscious yogic breathing or (pranayama) to improve respiration.

 

A consistent yoga practice can improve every system of the body and the benefits are numerous.  Some of the most noted benefits are overall muscular and skeletal conditioning, weight loss and toning, improved respiration and cardiovascular health, and the reduction of stress and its harmful effects.

 

If you are interested in starting a yoga program you can begin at any time by attending any of our All Levels classes. There is no need to make a reservation or pre-register. New students should arrive 5-10 minutes before scheduled class time and wear comfortable clothing. Please avoid wearing heavy perfumes and be sure to turn off all cell phones and pagers. All yoga mats and props are provided.
